Grades and Insignia

Like other traditional Knight Orders and Orders of Chivalry, the Ordo Equester Aurei Cervi (Inc.) is organised with different grades for its members. The Ordo Equester Aurei Cervi (Inc.) currently has 6 different grades for its members, which are expressed by different insignia.

GRADE GRADE DETAILS INSIGNIA
Grade I

Knight Grand Companion

wearing the Commander's Neck Badge, the Grand Companion's Gold Star on the Chest and the Grand Companion's Cordon with Gold Star.

The Holders are entitled to prefix his name with "His Excellency The Right Honourable Chevalier or HE TRH Chev. " and use the postnominal letters GCAC.

 

 

Dame Grand Companion

wearing the Badge suspended from a Bow with Tails, the Grand Companion's Gold Star on the Chest and the Grand Companion's Cordon with Gold Star.

The Holders are entitled to prefix her name with "Her Excellency The Right Honourable Dame or HE TRH Dame " and use the postnominal letters GCAC.

  • Breast Star in Gold
  • Neck Badge

  • Ladies may wear Bows instead of Neck Badge with Tails.
Grade II
Knight Grand Officer

wearing the Commander's Neck Badge and the Grand Officer's Silver Chest Jewel on the chest.

The Holders are entitled to prefix his name with "The Right Honourable Chevalier" and use the postnominal letters GOAC.

 

 

 

Dame Commander

wearing the Badge suspended from a Bow with Tails and Grand Officer's Silver Chest Jewel on the chest.

The Holders are entitled to prefix her name with "The Right Honourable Dame" and use the postnominal letters GOAC.

  • Neck Badge
  • Breast Star in Silver

 

  • Ladies may wear Bows instead of Neck Badge with Tails.
Grade III
Knight Commander

wearing the Commander's Neck Badge.

The Holders are entitled to prefix his name with "The Honourable Chevalier" and use the postnominal letters KCAC.

 

 

 

 

 

Dame Commander

wearing the Badge suspended from a Bow with Tails on the breast.

The Holders are entitled to prefix her name with "The Honourable Dame" and use the postnominal letters DCAC.

  • Neck Badge

 

  • Ladies may wear Bows instead of Neck Badge with no Tails.
Grade IV
Knight Officer

wearing the Knight Badge suspended from a Ribbon with a Crown on the Chest.

The Holders are entitled to prefix his name with "The Distinguished Chevalier" and use the postnominal letters KOAC.

Dame Officer

wearing the Badge suspended from a Bow without tails on the breast.

The Holders are entitled to prefix her name with "The Distinguished Dame" and use the postnominal letters DOAC.

  • Badge suspended from a straight ribbon with embroidered crown.

 

Grade V
Knight

wearing the Badge suspended from a Ribbon on the Chest.

The Holders are entitled to prefix his name with "Chevalier" and use the postnominal letters KAC.

Dame

wearing the Badge suspended from a Ribbon on the breast.

The Holders are entitled to prefix her name with "Dame" and use the postnominal letters DAC

  • Badge suspended from a straight ribbon.
Grade VI
Member

Member is the starting level of membership granting most of the rights of Knights. It is a probationary period of 6 - 12 months, or more upon the discretion of H.G the Grand Master. When H.G. the Grand Master feels Members are ready to continue their journey in the Order as a Knight, dedicated to the Aims of the Order, he elevates them.

They are entitled to use the postnominal letters MAC.

Grade VII
Esquire

Esquires are personally nominated members of the Order from the Ages 15 - 18. They are under the direct control of their nominators and are required to learn the Rules, Statutes and Regulations of the Order and act accordingly at all times.

An Esquires position is purely reliant on their Nominator and their actions..

They are entitled to use the postnominal letters EsqAC.
